Situated between Follonica and Punta Ala, Cala Violina is a charming little bay immersed in the wonderful, uncontaminated nature of the Bandite di Scarlino Nature Reserve.
What makes this bay unique and gives it its name is the unusual noise the sand makes when it is walked on, that sounds just like a violin.
The bay is surrounded by Mediterranean scrub and with its fine white sandy beach and crystalline sea, Cala Violina is perhaps the most fascinating beach along the entire coast.
As it can only be reached on foot or by boat, it has been kept pure and uncontaminated… a real corner of paradise!
